It Is WrittenIt Is Written is an internationally broadcast Christian television program founded in 1956 by George Vandeman . Its title comes from Matthew 4:4 of the Bible: "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'" It Is Written was the first religious program to air in color, and the first to take advantage of satellite technology. The program purports to have millions of viewers in 130 countries.
