The Iraqi opposition in the era following the occupation of Iraq consist of the numerous political parties who do not form part of the governing alliance, and their supporters. The opposition contains a great diversity of opinion, some members supporting the Iraqi insurgency while others work primarily for their ethnic, national or ideological interests.
