Notes
* Although the President is the symbolic chief of military and de jure head of state, the position of the President of Iraq is highly ceremonial with very limited powers. The Prime Minister of Iraq runs daily operations and exercises most of the executive powers as the head of government.
** The President and both deputies shall be elected by the Assembly with a two-thirds majority.
