The Instituto Politécnico Nacional (National Polytechnic Institute) or IPN is one of Mexico's public universities.

It focuses on engineering degrees, specially for the Mexican oil industry. It was founded by President Lázaro Cárdenas.

It also has its own TV station, Canal Once (Channel Eleven) broadcasting in Mexico City. It shows its own programs (cultural, scientific, entertainment) as well as foreign shows (notably BBC productions). It shows classic, rare and non-commercial movies from all the world.
