Ingrid of Sweden

Ingrid of Sweden, Ingrid Victoria Sofia Louise Margareta (March 28, 1910 - November 7, 2000) was the queen consort of King Frederick IX of Denmark. She was the third child of King Gustav VI Adolf of Sweden and his first wife, Princess Margaret of Connaught.

She married Frederik, then Crown Prince of Denmark and Iceland, on May 24, 1935, and became Queen of Denmark at his accession on April 20, 1947. The couple had three children:

  1. Princess Margrethe (1940-)
  2. Princess Benedikte (1944-)
  3. Princess Anne-Marie, (1946-)
