Imagination (album)

In 1998, Brian Wilson released this slick, highly polished album. It gained praise for its lead off track (and first single) "Your Imagination," which did well on the adult contemporary charts.

Other tracks of note included "Lay Down Burden," in memory of his brother Carl Wilson, who died that year, and the bizarre suite "Happy Days."

Some fans and critics were less-than-enthusiastic about the adult contemporary direction of the album, spearheaded by former wrestler Joe Thomas. The vocals, however, were uniformly championed as some of BW's best in years.

Defying expectations, Brian and a handpicked band hit the road the next year, performing reverent versions of his best songs.
