Hot-dry-rock

Hot-dry-rock or hot rock is a method to produce geothermal power in places where there is little underground water. The rocks are fractured and water is pumped through them, absorbs the underground heat, and is converted in a turbine into electricity. The biggest HDR projects are currently installed in Australia.
