Hockey jersey

A hockey jersey, traditionally called a sweater, is a piece of clothing worn by ice hockey players to cover the upper part of their bodies. It is usually decorated with the team's logo, the player's last name and a designated number on the back which is any number from 1 to 99 (in the NHL, 98 is the highest allowed number because the league retired 99 for all teams to honor Wayne Gretzky). A team captain will also have a capital-C on the upper front of the jersey, and two other players will have a capital-A who are designated alternate captains. Some leagues may also cover their jersey with advertisements.
