High Level, Alberta

High Level, Alberta is a town in northern Alberta, Canada. The population is approximately 4,200.

High Level is located on the Mackenzie Highway (Alberta Highway 35), approximately 800 kilomteres north of Edmonton, Alberta and about 725 km south of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The area surrounding High Level is known for its oil reserves and forests.

High Level is a young community, even by the standards of western Canada. It was founded in 1965.
