Herb Sendek

Herbert Walker Sendek (born February 22, 1963 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) has been head college basketball coach at North Carolina State University since 1996. A graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University, he was previously an assistant coach at Providence College and the University of Kentucky under Rick Pitino and head coach at Miami University (Ohio). He is the son of a coal miner's daughter. In 2004 he took the Wolfpack basketball team to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
