Harris Lake

Harris Lake is a man-made lake in the Research Triangle region of central North Carolina. Covering 4,100 acres (17 km²) in southwestern Wake County and southeastern Chatham County, it serves primarily as the a source of cooling water for the Shearon Harris nuclear power plant. The lake is also the site of a Wake County Park.
