Hans Aumeier (August 20 1906 - December 22 1947) was an official in Nazi Germany and a member of the SS with the rank of SS-Hauptsturmführer. He was commander of the Vaivara , Dachau, Esterwegan , Lichtenburg , Buchenwald, Flossenburg, Auschwitz, Riga and Grini concentration camps; Aumeier was sentenced to death in Kraków and executed on December 22 1947.
