Greendale is a primarily agricultural town within Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada, located 92 kilometres east of the city of Vancouver. Greendale is located on the west side of Chilliwack, bordering the east side of the city of Abbotsford. Greendale, originally called Sumas until 1951, was once a 10,000 acre (40 km²) lake at the base of Sumas Mountain . Sumas Lake was drained in the earily 1920s. Greendale has experienced 2 major floods, after the completed drainage, in 1894 and 1948.

Greendale is located in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada, 92 kilometers east of Vancouver in the Pacific Standard Time (PST) (GMT -8) time zone.
