Gothenburg City Airport (IATA airport code: GSE, ICAO airport code: ESGP, Swedish: Göteborg City Airport, often incorrectly called its previous name Säve Flygplats) is Sweden's most fast-growing - and maybe best situated airport.
Location
The airport is a commercial international aviation facility located 14 kilometres north-west of Gothenburg on the island of Hisingen in the Gothenburg region, in central western Sweden. Though it's pretty much a low-cost airline airport it's actually located closer to city centre than the main airport, Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport. This probably the only airport Ryanair operates to with such an attractive location to the city as this has. Due to the location many business jets prefer to fly here instead of Landvetter.
Transport
Airport is easily reached by car and bus. There are bus services that matches every Ryanair departure and arrival, terminating at the bus terminal Nils-Ericson Terminalen and the train terminal Centralstationen in just twenty minutes (cost 50 crowns).
If catching a taxi you'll have to be prepared paying 200-300 crowns for travelling the same route to the above mentioned destination.
Car rental services are Avis, Budget, Hertz and Europcar. Available from 700 crowns a day.
Technical information
Gothenburg City Airport can handle planes up to the size of a large Boeing 767, an Airbus A320 or similar jets.
