The Googleplex is the Google company headquarters, located in Mountain View, Santa Clara County, California, near San Francisco. The word Googleplex is a play on the words "googolplex" and "google.", from googolplex, the name given to
, or one followed by a googol zeroes. There are certain values that Google claims are upheld at the "googleplex", e.g. large rubber balls, shade lamps.
Googleplex is also the abbreviated name of a very powerful computer in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams:
