Golden Jubilee
A Golden Jubilee is a celebration held to mark a 50th anniversary. In the United Kingdom, a Golden Jubilee is held in the 50th year of a monarch's reign. Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her Golden Jubilee in 2002, having acceded to the throne in 1952 (although her coronation did not take place until 1953). See also: Jubilee |
