Geoff Tate was born on January 14, 1959, in West Germany. Shortly after his birth, his family relocated to to the Seattle area, in Washington. Geoff Tate is best known as the vocalist for rock group Queensrÿche. Tate joined Queensrÿche in 1981, and in 1982 the band released their self produced, and self titled debut EP . In 2002, Tate released his first, and to date, only solo album. The album, which was self titled, was released by Sanctuary Records. Tate is currently on tour with Queensrÿche, for their “An Evening with Queensrÿche” production that features a complete performance of their critically acclaimed 1988 album, Operation: Mindcrime.
