Gary Price

Gary Price is an electronic librarian, well-known for his technical knowledge, founding resourceshelf.com , and originating Price's List of Lists , "a database of ranked listings of companies, people and resources freely available on the Internet", which is now maintained by others. Price also contributes to Search Engine Watch [1] and Searcher [2]. Gary also started and contributes to Docuticker [3].

A former reference librarian at George Washington University, this native of the Chicago area holds a masters of library and information science degree from Wayne State University and a bachelors of arts degree from the University of Kansas.

With Chris Sherman, Price co-authored the book The Invisible Web.

In 2002, the Special Libraries Association [4] gave him the Innovations in Technology Award. He received the Special Libraries Association News Division's [5] Agnes Henebry Roll of Honor Award in 2004.

Price lives near Washington, DC.

His hobbies include collecting Flintstones memorabillia and fine dining.
