Gabriel Byrne (born Friday, May 12, 1950) is an actor born in Dublin, Ireland. He was educated by the Christian Brothers in Dublin, Ireland. He married and divorced actress Ellen Barkin.

He first visited the United States when he was 37, and he currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

His autobiography, Pictures in my Head (ISBN 0863277098), was published in 1995.

No relation to Gabriel Mary 'Gay' Byrne.
