Frontier Strip refers to the American six states from North Dakota south to Texas. Geographically speaking, the states basically form a straight line from north to south. The term 'Frontier Strip' is probably an allusion to the days of the American Wild West , when the states (some of which were territories at that point) on the Strip were considered to be rugged outposts .
