The Florida Midland Railroad is one of several short line railroads run by the Pinsly Railroad Company. It has connections to CSX at Wildwood, Florida, Winter Haven, Florida and West Lake Wales, Florida .

In 2000, the company petitioned the Surface Transportation Board to abandon the entire Leesburg Branch; the petition was denied on November 15, 2000.

The lines were formerly the CSX Bartow Subdivision (Winter Haven area), Leesburg, Ocala and Orlando Subdivisions (Wildwood area), and Lake Wales Subdivision (Lake Wales area).
