Feyli (also Fayli or Faili) is one of the Persid languages, very close to Persian and Luri. Fayli is spoken in eastern part of Iraq in the Khanaqin region near the Iranian border. The word Feyli itself comes from the Persian word Pahlehi meaning "related to Pahleh" (the Zagros decades), today some of the Fayli-speakers tend to consider themselves as Kurds.
