Faro del Comercio is a monument designed by the famous Mexican architect Luis Barragan and contructed by architect Raul Ferrara . It was built to celebrate the first 100 years of the Chamber of Commerce in Monterrey. It is located in the Gran Plaza just in front of the Cathedral and behind the Municipal Offices of Monterrey. It is 69.80 meters tall and 12.33 wide. Its red color makes it a must see when visiting the Gran Plaza, also called Macro Plaza. At night, it beams a green laser all over Monterrey and some parts of the Metropolitan Area.
