Fagernes is the largest town in the valley of Valdres, Norway, with a population of around 1,800. Fagernes is the administrative centre of the municipality of Nord-Aurdal.

Fagernes is a important destination for tourism in Norway, due to good communications and beautiful nature in the surrounding Valdres valley and mountain areas, like Jotunheimen.
