Emperor Heizei of Japan

Emperor Heizei (平城天皇) (774-824) was the 51st imperial ruler of Japan. He ruled from 806 until his abdication in 809. When his successor died in 810, he attempted rebellion, but was defeated and became a Buddhist monk.
