Elisabeth Marie Henriette, Archduchess of Austria

Elisabeth Marie Henriette, Archduchess of Austria, nicknamed Erzsi, (September 2, 1883 - March 16, 1963) was the daughter of Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria and Princess Stephanie of Belgium.

She married Prince Otto Weriand zu Windisch-Graetz on January 23, 1903. They had three sons and one daughter, Franz Joseph, Prince of Windisch-Graetz , Ernst, Prince of Windisch-Graetz , Rudolph, Prince of Windisch-Graetz , and Stephanie, Princess of Windisch-Graetz, and divorced in 1924. On May 4, 1928, she married Leopold Petznek, a Social Democratic teacher and politician, who served as Speaker of the lower chamber of parliament. She became known as The Red Archduchess because for her association with her husband and the Socialists.
