Eliot A. Cohen is considered to be a neo-conservative. He is a professor at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University. Cohen is the director of the Strategic Studies department and has an emphasis on strategic studies, the Middle East, Persian Gulf, Iraq, arms control, and NATO. Cohen has also worked for the Department of Defense and taught at the U.S. Naval War College. He is a member of the Project for the New American Century at the American Enterprise Institute.
