Eleonore Gonzaga (23 September1598 - 27 June1655) (also know as Eleonore of Gonzaga). Born in Mantua, her parents were Vincenzo Gonzaga (Duke Vincenzo I Gonzaga of Mantua) (1562-1612) and Eleonora Medici (Eleonora de Medici) (1567-1611). She was the wife of Ferdinand II, Holy Roman Emperor. Eleonora, famous for her singular beauty, married Ferdinand in Innsbruck1622. They had no children, but she became stepmother to Ferdinand's children from his previous marriage. She established Carmeliteconvents in both Graz and Vienna.
