Eccles, Greater Manchester

Eccles is a small town in Greater Manchester, England that is a suburb of the City of Salford, situated between the Manchester Ship Canal and the M602 Motorway.

Eccles frequently appears in the TV show Coronation Street, with a local supermarket formerly used as the setting for 'Bettabuys'.

A well known British pastry, the Eccles cake is believed to have been first made here.
