Durango Boot (also called Boot) is a competitive, non-contact sport that makes use of a flying disc (or Frisbee), and is similar to Ultimate Frisbee. The game is played by two teams on a field with two cones set close together at either end. There is a line dividing the field in half between the two ends, much like a fifty yard line in football. Once the disc crosses this line, the team in possession of the disc can score at any of the cones, including the ones they started near. Scoring occurs when a player successfully knocks over a cone with the disc, getting more points depending how far away from the disc he is when this occurs. Knocking over a cone from beyond the half-field line earns more points than scoring at point-blank range. Many versions of the game include a "make it and take it" rule, stating that, unlike Ultimate, the team who scores the last point maintains possession until a turn-over.
