Dundas West (TTC)

Dundas West is a station on the Bloor-Danforth Line of the Toronto subway. It is located at 1525 Bloor Street West at its more easterly intersection with Dundas Street West (near Edna Avenue). It opened in 1966. Dundas West connects to Bloor station on GO Transit's Georgetown line (which is located directly above Bloor Street which goes underneath several railway lines in the area). Nearby landmarks include The Junction and Roncesvalles Village.

After leaving the station, the line runs in bored tunnel until just before the next station. This allowed it to pass under several railway lines without disturbing them during construction. Otherwise, the subway would either have to go underneath the railway lines via direct underpass (as the railways are all at grade level), or elevated over the entire area.
