Doug Bandow is a Senior Fellow at the libertarian Cato Institute. He is notable for his strong opposition to the Law of the Sea Treaty and is the author of The Politics of Plunder. He "holds a B.S. in economics from Florida State University and a J.D. from Stanford, worked in the Reagan administration as special assistant to the president and has also served as editor of the political magazine Inquiry."[1]
