Digidesign is a digital audio company. It is a division of the famous video technology company Avid.

Digidesign revolutionised digital audio with their release of the famous DAW (digital audio workstation), Pro Tools. This intergrated software and hardware system offered and still offers features that no other technology/company does. It has swiftly become the standard for any professional music/multimedia studio.

In August 2004, Avid acquired M-Audio , which now operates as a business unit of Digidesign.
