Dave Holland (drummer)

Dave Holland, born on April 5, 1948 in Northamptonshire, Wolverhampton, England was the drummer for legendary British heavy metal band Judas Priest.

Joining the band in August 1979 and having played drums on genre-defining platinum albums such as British Steel, Screaming for Vengeance, Defenders of the Faith and Turbo, Holland witnessed the peak in popularity and commercial success for the Birmingham heavy rock institution.

He quit the music business in 1989, citing personal reasons, with Scott Travis soon emerging as his more-than-worthy replaceent in the Priest.

In February 2004 Holland was found guilty of sexually abusing a teenager who was taking drum lesson with him, and sentenced to 8 years in prison.
