Dark Angel (band)

Dark Angel is a thrash metal band from Los Angeles. Their over-the-top style earned them the nickname "the L.A. Caffeine Machine" and the motto "too fast, my ass". They released a demo album, We Have Arrived , in 1985, and a proper debut, Darkness Descends, in 1986. This LP is a seminal release in the history of metal, joining Reign in Blood (Slayer) and Pleasure to Kill (Kreator) as highly important thrash releases of 1986.

Two more LPs followed: Leave Scars (1988) and Time Does Not Heal (1990), and a live album: Live Scars , after which the band broke up.

The band re-united in 2002, and is currently recording their new album, Darkness Returns.
