Dane Lanken (born 1945 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian journalist.

He was a film critic for the Montreal Gazette from 1967 to 1977, and has since been a freelance journalist who writes regularly for Canadian Geographic, among other publications.

He is married to singer-songwriter Anna McGarrigle, and has appeared as a vocalist on several of her albums with her sister Kate McGarrigle. McGarrigle and Lanken have two children, Lily Lanken and Sylvan Lanken.
