Cynthia Cooper (basketball)

Cynthia Lynne Cooper (born on April 14, 1963) is a retired American Women's National Basketball Association player who played for the Houston Comets. A star at the University of Southern California, she played internationally in Italy before arriving in the WNBA in 1997. She was MVP of the first two WNBA seasons and won 4 WNBA Championships with the Houston Comets. Cooper retired from professonal basketball in 2000 before making a short-lived comeback in the 2003 season. She announced her final retirement from professional basketball in 2004.

She currently serves as a TV analyst and halftime reporter for the Houston Rockets of the NBA.
