Cyan Worlds

Cyan Worlds, Inc. (formerly Cyan, Inc.) is a computer game company, located in Mead, Washington (just outside of Spokane), founded by Rand and Robyn Miller creating games for the Apple Macintosh and for Microsoft Windows.

The games they have released are, in chronological order:

With the exception of the early titles Manhole, Cosmic Osmo and Spelunx, the games stem from the idea that a race called the D'ni can write books (linking books) that can be used to link to worlds in another dimension. These worlds are called "Ages". Cyan's games are known for concentrating on detailed plot, graphics, and exploration and try not to exclude very young or old, or otherwise impaired players. Related to the storyline of the D'ni are also the three Myst novels Book of Atrus, Book of Ti'ana and Book of D'ni.

After the demise of Uru Live, Cyan released two Uru expansion packs incorporating some of Live's intended content. They are now working on Myst V: End of Ages (formerly "Sasquatch"), scheduled for release in Autumn 2005. It is unclear as to whether this is the same thing as their project, thus far officially referred to as "Something Else", of which we know that it will have "a much shorter than usual release cycle".
