Cornish College of the Arts

Cornish College of the Arts is a fully accredited institution in Seattle, Washington that offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance, Theater, Performance Production, Design, and Fine Art, as well as the Bachelor of Music degree. Founded in 1914 by Nellie Cornish as the Cornish School, its students have included Nancy Wilson of Heart, Brendan Fraser, Chet Huntley, and Merce Cunningham. Such artists as Mark Tobey, Morris Graves , Maurice and Ellen Van Volkenburg Browne , John Cage, Martha Graham, Peter Meremblum , Julian Priester, Gary Hill, and Alexander Koriansky have taught at Cornish, and among its artists-in-residence have been Bill Frisell and Imogen Cunningham.
