Communist Party of Nepal (Unity Centre-Masal)

Communist Party of Nepal (Unity Centre-Masal), a communist political party in Nepal. CPN(UC-M) was constituted in 2002 through the merger of Communist Party of Nepal (Unity Centre) and Communist Party of Nepal (Masal).

The general secretary of CPN(UC-M) is Mohan Bikram Singh.

CPN(UC-M) favours a negotiated settlement of the Nepalese internal conflict. Their proposal, put forward together with other leftists, is to hold a constituent assembly. The party opposes US involvement in the conflict.

The major mass organization of CPN(UC-M) is Jana Morcha, Nepal (People's Front, Nepal). The party and front are active in the 4-party movement for democracy.

The women's wing of CPN(UC-M) is led by Surya Thapa (president) and Anjana Bisankhe (general secretary)

The students wing of CPN(UC-M) is All Nepal National Free Students Union (Unified).

The cultural wing of CPN(UC-M) is called Indreni-Raktim Cultural Family.

Fronts in India include All India Nepalese Unity Society (Mainstream) and All-India Nepali Students’ Association.
