Clerke Rocks

The Clerke Rocks are a group small rocky islands 74 km Southeast of South Georgia at 55°01' S, 34°41' W, that extend 8 km in an from East to West. They include The Office Boys (spanish Los Mandaderos) at the Northeastern end, and Nobby (spanish Islote Llamativo or Roca Notable) at the Southeastern end of the group. The islands belong to the British overseas territory of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

The islands were discovered in 1775 by a British expedition under Capt. James Cook, who named them for Charles Clerke, officer on the Resolution who first saw the rocks.
