History

When Chorão came to Santos, with 17 years (after a difficult and somewhat traumatic childhood), he had already an strong interest in skateboarding and rock. One day, ocasionally, in a bar, he switched a vocalist of a local rock band, when the latter wanted to go to the bathroom. Someone else there liked of what he had seen, and invited Chorão to be the vocalist of his band.

When the bassist of that band quit, Chorão found Champignon, who was a kid 12 years old at the time. Some time later, Chorão decided to make his own band, and invited Champignon and Pelado (the latter a Chorão's friend of another local band), and some time later, Marcão and Tiago (a 5th member). The band would continue to make apresentations in the city without a official name until Chorão crashed his car in a tend whose name was "Charlie Brown Jr."

Rick Bonadio, who was knew by Champignon, invited them to make a "demo". He liked what he heard. Some time after, the Virgin label made a contract with the band.
