Charged GBH

Charged GBH, usually referred to simply as GBH, is a preeiminent band of British hardcore punk. They hail from Birmingham and, despite the passing of the decades, the original lineup is still playing as of 2003. They signed to Clay Records, along with peers Discharge, and played shows at the 100 Club in Oxford St , London throughout the early 1980's. They officially changed their name to GBH in 1983.

GBH was later known as a part of the UK82 hardcore punk rock scene along with contemporaries Discharge, External Menace, Picture Frame Seduction, The Exploited and many more. This group, among others, led the way for the worldwide second wave of punk rock. They have been described as non-political (usually), aggressive British style punk rock.
