Cathy Tyson

Cathy Tyson (born June 121965) is an English actress.

Born in Liverpool, her father was a Trinidadian barrister and her mother an English social worker. At age 17 she joined the Everyman Theatre. In 1984 she entered the RSC. Her film debut was as Simone the elegant black prostitute in Mona Lisa (1986). She has also worked in television, including a lead role in the ITV series Band of Gold

She was married to Craig Charles from 1984 until their divorce in 1989.
