Cassiar is a ghost town in the province of British Columbia, Canada. It was a small company-owned mining town nestled in the mountains of Northern British Columbia. After several decades of operation, the mine was closed down in the mid to late 1990s after the demand for asbestos declined. Most of the contents of the town, including the houses, were sold off.
The town had a school, a church, a small hospital, and a hockey rink.
