Carlos Mendes (born December 25, 1980 in Mineola, New York) is an American soccer defender, who currently plays for the MetroStars of Major League Soccer.

Mendes played college soccer at Old Dominion University. He did not go straight into MLS upon leaving college, playing in the United Soccer Leagues with the Long Island Rough Riders and the Rochester Rhinos. He signed with the MetroStars in 2005.
