There are two local governmental bodies known as Canandaigua and both are in Ontario County, New York.

They have separate governments. Note: parts of six neighboring townships also share the Canandaigua mailing address and 14424 zip code.

The City is surrounded by the Town, which borders it to the east, west, and north. Canandaigua Lake lies to the south of the City.
