Bulgogi

Bulgogi is a popular Korean beef dish. Bulgogi is a specialty dish served when guests visit or eat in restaurants. The dish is also often served to non-Koreans as a first taste of Korean cuisine.

A Recipe

Mix all ingredients except carrots. Marinate in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Cook over medium high heat until meat is just short of desired completion. Add carrots and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Serve with rice.

This dish is traditionally grilled, but broiling or pan-cooking is acceptable (in that order).

Notes

  • You must serve the meal immediately or the beef will toughen.
  • Freeze the steak before slicing. This will allow you to slice very thinly.
