Bryan Redpath


Bryan Redpath is another member of the great Scottish production line of scrum halves, along with Gary Armstrong, Roy Laidlaw, Alan Lawson and in the present Chris Cusiter and Mike Blair. Born on July 2, 1971 in Galashiels, Bryan has captained Scotland and played in the Rugby Union World Cup in 1999 and 2003.

Bryan plays for Sale Sharks in the English Premiership, and would like to be a member of the British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand in 2005. He is nicknamed "Basil" after the TV glove puppet Basil Brush.
