Breaker High was a short-lived Canadian television series that ran from 1997 to 1998. The series was set at a high school located on a cruise ship, allowing the episodes to be set in a variety of exotic "locations". (The series was, in fact, filmed entirely in Burnaby, British Columbia.) The eight main characters, each possessing a different teenage stereotype, were: Alex Pineda, Ashley Dupree (the spoilt Southern belle), Sean Stanley Hanlon (the nerd), Cassidy Cartwright (the athletic one), Jimmy Mortimor Farrell (the practical joker), Max Ballard, Denise Williams and Tamira Goldstein (the hard-working intellectual one).

The series featured Kyle Alisharan (Alex), Terri Conn (Ashley Dupree), Ryan Gosling (Sean), Wendi Kenya (Cassidy), Tyler Labine (Jimmy), Scott Vickaryous (Max), Persia White (Denise) and Rachel Wilson (Tamira).
